Please be aware that you may see certain words or descriptions in search results or library materials which reflect the author’s attitude or that of the period in which the item was created and may now be considered offensive.]

Catalogue search tips:

  • Use AND to combine keywords such as  United States and Gender
  • Do not search for entire topic sentences.  You need to pick out the key phrases, words, and concepts and build a search.
  • To search for primary source materials in the catalogue, use terms such as sources, correspondence and/or letters with other search terms to find anthologies or collections of primary sources in the UFV Library.  For example: United States AND Gender and Inequality AND (sources OR letters OR correspondence)
