Using Vividata

Tips and resources on using Vividata effectively.

Accessing Vividata

Note: You will need THIS username and password to log into Vividata. Use your UFV credentials (myUFV or employee login) to access this link.

IMPORTANT

Do not check the "Remember me next time" box. (But if you do and are unable to access Vividata, you'll need to clear the cookie from your browser; use Google to find out how to do this.)

If you use a password manager (for example, through your browser), you can store the username and password there to make it easier to log into the database in the future.

On the "Dapresy Pro" screen, choose the project you want to explore; this is usually the most recent dataset available:

When to Use Vividata

Use Vividata to find out:

  • what magazines and newspapers Canadians are reading, what products and services they’re buying, and what leisure activities they’re enjoying;
  • ages, income, and demographic characteristics of Canadian consumers; and
  • opinions of Canadian consumers on topics such as recycling, shopping, traveling, and dieting.
These are examples of the kinds of questions that Vividata can help you answer.
