The UFV Library is participating in a program to purchase Books at JSTOR through "Demand Driven Acquisition" (DDA). JSTOR e-books are provided by over 85 different university and society publishers.
What is DDA?
DDA is a method of purchasing items with a known demand or interest. JSTOR e-book purchases are triggered on the sixth chapter view or the fourth chapter download.

Purchasing Details
All books have multiple user licenses (MUPO) so are available for unlimited simultaneous use.
The JSTOR collection that UFV has activated currently includes over 12,000 books in all subject areas, provided by a wide range of university and scholarly society publishers. Publishers include Princeton University Press, Yale University Press, University of Toronto Press and McGill-Queen's University press. JSTOR Books included in our catalogue have been limited to a maximum purchase price of $175.00 before the discount (35%). We have chosen to include English language (but not Spanish) publications, with a copyright year of 2000 or later.
The JSTOR collection is strong in the disciplines of history, language and literature, political science, sociology, philosophy, religion, anthropology, law, business and film studies.
You can search the library catalogue by author, title or keyword. JSTOR books on your topic will be included in your search results. (To tell them apart from others, these books have the location of Website at JSTOR_DDA.)
Click on the URL. If you are off campus you will be required to authenticate first using your current myUFV username and password.
JSTOR e-book chapters are also included in your search results in JSTOR.
Books at JSTOR are DRM free.There are no limits on downloading or printing, and you won't need to log in or use any special software to use the ebooks. Books are presented in separate chapters in PDF format. These may be downloaded and saved, and they do not expire.
