Fibre Museum

What is a Fibre Museum?

Museum Collection ItemsThe Fibre Museum is an interactive textile and fabric collection used to support the integration of sustainability themes into teaching, community awareness events, and other related initiatives. The inventory/collection is comprised of many examples of clothing types and styles, numerous fabric examples, raw materials, tools, equipment, books, paraphernalia, and artifacts all related to the contemporary and historical production and use of clothing, fabric, and textiles.

The development of the Fibre Museum is part of the sustainability work of Dr. Michelle Superle, English professor and Research Associate with the UFV Food and Agriculture Institute.

The UFV Library hosted the Fibre Museum in its Makerspace area January 10, 2023 through May 2023 and again in May 2024.
