Using Find It: Search Results

A guide to using the Find It discovery search engine.

Search Results

Search results integrate books, articles, and more.

U F V search results showing a periodical, book, and academic journal.

Pre-Indexed Content Providers

Search results are returned almost instantly, because EBSCO pre-indexes vast quantities of metadata into a centralized index. These results appear immediately in the result list.  Details on the source of the citations are shown in the Content Provider box on the left side of the screen.

On left is the Content Provider limiter which shows sources of the citations returned in the search results list.

Additional Databases

There are a small number of databases which are not pre-indexed in the EBSCO's central index, including  Canadian Business and Current Affairs, Canadian Newsstand, and  CPI-Q.

The database names are displayed on the right side of the screen.  You may click on the database to view the additional search results.

At right of search results is a list of additional databases, names in blue text next to check boxes.
