Library Policies: Cell Phones

Cell Phones in the Library

he UFV Library strives to provide a quiet environment which promotes study and research.  Cell phone conversations are disruptive to others.

Therefore, cell phone conversations (voice) are not allowed in the UFV Library.   Conversations must be conducted outside the library.  Use of cell phones for texting or other non-audible applications is permitted.

Cell phone ringing is also a disruptive noise. Patrons entering the library should turn their phones to a non-audible signal.

Patrons not complying with this policy will be asked to leave the library.
