Cited References in PsycINFO

One possible avenue of research is to find one research article you like and then look at its references and at articles that later cited it.

If you click on a specific article in PsycINFO, you will see a References icon. Click on that, and you will see a list of the articles cited within that article. If you are lucky you will find links to the full text!

 

 

Look for "Cited by ___" in a citation (see yellow highlighting in the image below). This will indicate how many OTHER articles have cited the original paper. If the number is high, like in the example below (78!), it indicates that the article has likely made a significant impact in the field...and it maybe important for you to consult it, too!
