Canadian Law: Home

A guide to understanding federal, provincial and local law.

Introduction

This guide has been developed as a general introduction to resources in the field of Canadian law. It is not a comprehensive listing of sources, but rather a starting point from which you can begin your research according to your information needs.

Library resources pertaining to a particular type of law, such as statutes, will be listed under the specific type of law tab.

The majority of the resources listed on this guide are freely available to the public; the research databases listed on this guide are available only to UFV faculty, staff and students.

For more detailed coverage of criminal law, please consult the Criminal Justice guide.
