Company Research

What is a Private Company?

"A private company is a firm held under private ownership. Private companies may issue stock and have shareholders, but their shares do not trade on public exchanges and are not issued through an initial public offering (IPO)." [source]

As described my the name, private companies are privately owned and run. Much of the company information is very hard to find since there are no legal requirements for these companies to publish annual reports, memos and other dealings through SEDAR or EDGAR.
