About Financial Ratios in Gale Business Insights

Gale Business Insights provides a wide range of ratios for a company, including:

• Stock price (price volumet, per share, price related and dividend ratios)
• Business fundamentials (growth rate, profitability, efficiency, financial strength, income, balance sheet and management effectiveness ratios)

Gale Business Insights also allows you to company a company's ratio with a competitor and download the data as an Excel spreadsheet.

Finding Financial Ratios

1. Search for the company profile.

2. Look for the Financial Performance section.

3. Look for the box labelled "Ratios".

4. Click on the "All Ratios" link.

Comparing Financial Ratios

From the Financial Ratios page for a company:

1. Locate the financial ratios page from the company profile.

2. Type a company name or ticker symbol (ticker symbol works best) of a competitor into the search box labelled "Compare with Company".

3. Select the company from the drop-down list of matches. A box with the new company's ratios will appear to the right of the existing ratios.

4. To download the financial ratios data, click on the Dowload Data button.
