Student Engagement Working Group

This guide provides information about the UFV Library's Student Engagement Working Group (SEWG).

About

In the spring of 2022, the Library created a new strategic plan for the next five years and one of the SMART goals from this plan was to establish a relationship with the Student Union Society (SUS). In the summer of 2022, the Library met with SUS to create a Student Engagement Group.

The UFV Library's Student Engagement Working Group (SEWG) is a team of library staff and students working together in partnership in a good way to collaborate on services, programs, collections, and events. It is a platform for students to provide their feedback and perspectives to the Library, and enables the Library to review their ideas with students.

Membership

Members include representatives from UFV Library, UFV Student Union Society, and UFV Pride Collective.

A diverse group of students sit and stand together in the library, looking and smiling at the camera. A student in the background smiles and flashes the 'peace' sign.

The University of the Fraser Valley is situated on the traditional territory of the Stó:lō peoples. The Stó:lō have an intrinsic relationship with what they refer to as S’olh Temexw (Our Sacred Land), therefore we express our gratitude and respect for the honour of living and working in this territory.
