If you limit to ebooks or print books, you will find more general information. If you limit to scholarly peer reviewed articles, you will find information that is very specific to a particular career and situation.

Here's an image of all the different filters available to you. You will probably use and re-use the Geography filter to limit to Canada, the print books or ebooks filter, the scholarly peer reviewed filter and the publication date range limiter.

What are Trade Publications?

A trade publication, also called a trade journal, trade magazine, or trade paper, is a magazine or newspaper whose target audience is people who work in a particular trade or industry.

Trade publications are useful for:

  • finding information on current news, products, and trends within a specific trade or industry
  • learning practical information within a field from practitioners within that industry

Examples of trade publications:

Input your search and click Find It:

Under Source Type, limit your results to Trade Publications. Then, if you want, click on All Filters and choose Geography. Look for Canada from the list. You may have to hit show more to see Canada as an option.
