EDUC 423 Indigenous and Western Science: Water

The grade 3 students in Ms. Krenz’s class have been working hard to learn the traditional Sto:lo story: How The Coho Got His Hooked Nose told by Theresa Michell. With help from cultural support workers, Lorene Charleston and Shae Boone, students studied oral storytelling processes and designed their own storytelling props. Each student retold the story in their own words and reflected on the important lessons in the story. Thank you to the storyteller for sharing this traditional story and allowing it’s use for educational purposes.
