SOWK 225, Human Behaviour and the Social Environment

Provides strategies and tools for finding and selecting different types of sources related to social work.

The Assignment

For this assignment, you will:

  • select a life stage (e.g., adolescence, early adulthood, late adulthood, etc.);
  • select a social issue (e.g., poverty, mental health, substance abuse, intimate partner violence, etc.) that significantly impacts individuals within the chosen life stage; and
  • conduct a critical analysis exploring the complex relationship between the chosen life stage and social issue through the lens of a relevent social work theory.

You are invited to incorporate Indigenous or other understandings of life stages.
