Public companies around the world (and, in many countries, private companies, too) are legally required to file documents containing financial and other information with the government. These filings, as they're typically called, are then made publicly available.

For companies operating outside of the U.S. and Canada, you'll need to search the web for company filings [country]. Note that in many countries (including most of Europe), both private and public companies are required to file documents with the government. Documents from non-English speaking countries may not be available in English.

Financial Metrics

The sources below provide financial ratios for companies, although not all companies may be available in each source.

From the Companies menu, select Financial Reports; search by company name or ticker symbol. Reports will include both a Fundamentals Analysis and a Financial Dashboard. The fundamentals analysis includes income statement, balance sheet, cash flor, and ratios. The Dashboard offers information similar to what you might retrieve from sites like Reuters and Mornngstar.

Reuters
A quick way to find financial data from Reuters is to use Google and type reuters.com [ticker symbol] in the address bar of your browser or the Google search box. Look under the Financials and Key Metrics tabs for detailed data.
Morningstar
Search by ticker symbol in the search box provided. Look under the Financials and Valuation tabs for financial metrics.
