Criminal Justice Testing and Evaluation Consortium
Reports on law enforcement technology, including forensics, computer equipment, weapons, protective equipment, security and surveillance systems.
National Institute of Justice Publications
Search for publications related to corrections, courts, crime, drugs, justice, victims, etc.
Police Executive Research Forum (PERF)
PERF is an organization of police executives, and publishes many free reports on their website.
U.S. Dept of Justice

Canadian Criminal Justice Association
Includes articles on prison overcrowding, aboriginal peoples and criminal justice, parole
Canadian Firearms Program
Links to Firearms Statistics, research reports, legislation
Canadian Incident Database (CIDB)
Database of terrorist and extremist attacks, created by five Canadian universities. Incidents may be searched by date, location, event, target or weapon type, or perpetrator.
Correctional Service Canada
Includes full text reports on topics such as prison work programs, recidivism and offender substance abuse. Click on "Research" or "Publications".
Justice Canada
Information on programs in areas such as youth violence, victims of crime, sentencing. Also many full-text research reports and fact sheets.
Office of the Police Complaint Commissioner (B.C.)
Reports of decisions regarding complaints against the police
Public Safety Canada
Look for "Resources" for a link to their publications.
RCMP
Information on their services and units (counterfeiting, customs, computer crime, etc), as well as training and recruitment

Amnesty International
This international organization presents information on human rights by country and by topic.
Global Terrorism Database
The Global Terrorism Database (GTD) is an open-source database including information on terrorist events around the world from 1970 through 2013 (with annual updates planned). You can search by keyword, or browse by region, perpetrator, weapon type, target type and more.
Human Rights Watch
Global issues such as arm, terrorism, prison conditions, torture, human rights.
International Centre for Criminal Law Reform and Criminal Justice Policy
Papers on aboriginal justice, domestic violence, organized crime, human rights, juvenile justice and more. International focus.
