What are the current societal trends? For example, people used to eat at McDonald's happily; now that is not necessarily the case.
Does the current age of population affect your company's production?
What are the impacts of current health trends and beliefs?
What are people's attitudes towards price, product quality, sustainability?
Are people's attitudes towards their jobs, careers, or retirement changing?

Other things to think about include education levels, beliefs about buying local or locally made, adoption of new hobbies, or behaviours.
